New Job Offer

My husband received an email on a job offer today. It wants him to confirm whether he accept it or not. My husband try to call them as it stated in the email,  "if you have any questions please call me at my direct line below". But she said,  just drop her an email saying he accept the offer, then they will email the letter of offer with all the details inside.  Once my husband get the letter of offer, it doesn't state clearly on the status of employment after probation period. So he email the asking about it.  The lady then replied harshly by saying they have already inform my husband in the interview that there will be no guarantee that they will hire him as a permanent staff after probation period.  She even say if my husband did not interested with the offer,  just let her know as soon as possible. 

I know, with the economic situation recently, companies know that people have less choice.  But in terms of humanity, people just ask something to cover up or guarantee themselves for the sake to support the family. Company can do whatever they want,  but just have some respect.
